Spa Sudeva is kind of a cool little day spa tucked away in a shopping center in Tampa. It has a very bright and cheery entry way and then it can be a bit of and adjustment to a darkened interior when you head back to the spa area. The only weird thing, is that you head down a hallway, past all the treatment rooms to the back where the locker rooms are.
If you have just arrived and are chatting with the spa receptionist as you head back, you feel kind of bad because of the obvious need to be quiet. However, maybe like my local Day Spa, if you are regular and know the drill, you just head on back.
The waiting lounge area is small, but pleasant space, and there is a little bit of an overflow waiting area. The décor is an ecelectic charm that is part of Spa Sudeva’s brand. The waiting area, has coloring books, in addition to magazines. In addition, it has a book where visitors can write down their intention for their visit, treatment, etc. I love that!
I only had time for one treatment, but my therapist was a delight. Very skilled and I enjoyed my treatment very much. I also like the uniqueness of some of the treatments on the menu, there definitely are a few things on the list I would have wanted to try, but I only had time for one treatment, so I went with the mind,body and spirit massage. But I would liked to have time to have a Zen facial or some of the energy rituals, including the Feather, Sage and Stone, cleansing ritual.
I definitely hope to be back to Spa Sudeva on another Tampa trip.
